Installation, conçue pour être videoprojetée sur un mur, ou montrée sur écran, dans un cadre d'exposition (en ligne ou hors ligne). La durée est infinie, il n'y a pas de fin.

Comme les autres pièces de Jalons 8/96, Trop Tard est une tentative de mettre le spectateur en présence de quelque chose qui serait derrière l'image, qui serait sa cause.
Sur l'écran, l'image d'un tissu est tendu par un doigt, situé derrière le tissu. Ce doigt dessine des formes, sans arrêt. Quelque chose (quelqu'un ?) essaye de communiquer avec nous, et le dispositif (écran/tissu/doigt/silence) nous renvoie à cette chose. Nous ne sommes plus dans le monde de l'image mais dans celui de sa cause.
Si le spectateur a la patience de décrypter les signes dessinés, il se rend compte que c'est l'heure exacte, ici et maintenant, épelée lettre à lettre, et ceci indéfiniment. Trop Tard est en fait une horloge.

Like the other pieces of Jalons 8/96, Trop Tard is an attempt to put the spectator in presence of something that would be behind the image, that would be its cause.
On the screen, the image of a piece of fabric is bent by a finger, placed behind the fabric. This finger draws shapes, indefinitely. Something (someone ?) is trying to communicate with us, and the setup (screen/fabric/finger/silence) puts us in relationship with this thing. We are not any more in the world of the image but in the one of its cause.
If the spectator has enough patience to decrypt the drawn signs, she finds out that it is the exact time, here and now, spelled letter by letter. Trop tard is actually a clock.
